My name is Laney Taylor and I am currently enrolled at Converse College. I am majoring in art education and I have always had a passion for art. I dabble in many things in my spare time. I enjoy doing makeup, hosting art parties, but most of all I love making art. Now that you know a little bit about me, feel free to take a look at my website.

ARTIST BIO
Growing up in a big family, I have always been surrounded by intense emotions. When I draw on memories, I break down colors, movements, and the way a certain memory makes me feel. My pieces explore the relationships between memories and abstraction. I express movement through gestural paint strokes, I add implied textures to incorporate certain feelings and I add gold leaf to remind myself of the delicacy of emotions.
The symbolic theme of my artwork is about identifying the strength of the human mind, and digging into a certain range of emotions. Through my artwork I wish to display similar ranges of emotional imagery in which the viewers can connect with. My artwork is always authentic, exhibiting peaceful yet striking paint strokes and imagery that draws on a visual impact of human emotions. My pieces are an expression of my inner world and I try to allow my viewers to connect emotions with memories experienced throughout life.
